Wordpress in the iPhone

It has been a while since I have written anything and I decided to see if I could do it thru the Safari browser on the iPhone. I have to say this alone makes the iPhone truly stand out from the crowd. Oh yes I forgot, in my last post I mentioned that I had returned the iPhone. This fact is true but my financial situation actually panned out and I had the opportunity to purchase the 8gb model.

Returning back to the AT&T 8525 and Windows Mobile was truly a painful experience after using the iPhone for only 48hrs. The iPhone made it perfectly clear at how horrible the complete user experience on Windows Mobile really is. It was nice to have 3G access again but that was soon an afterthought when I was using Pocket Internet Explorer, which is by far the worst browser ever made. Even Opera Mini was a disappointing experience when I knew what it was like to surf the Internet on the iPhone. It only took less than a day using a Windows Mobile device for me to realize that I will never use a Pocket PC from Microsoft ever again.

It is amazing that I have the ability to login into my Wordpress account and blog or manage posts from virtually anywhere. It’s not perfect though. You have to write your new post under the code tab and I don’t have the ability to scroll back up thru my post to review what I have written. I would say that this would be great for writing rough drafts and then editing on your main computer.

The iPhone is truly an amazing device that I am happy to own.
